A 1958 graduate of Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania and a 1961 graduate of Case West Reserve School of Law, Cleveland, Ohio, Erwin D. Apell was admitted to the Bar in the State of New Jersey in 1961. He first established his law practice in Wrightstown, New Jersey in 1964 after being honorably discharged from the United States Army. Thereafter, he established a partnership with the late Dayton G. Hopkins, Esquire in the firm name of Hopkins, Apell and Forman, with law offices in New Egypt and Wrightstown, New Jersey. At present, he is President of the legal Professional Corporation of Apell and Detrick including his partner, Paul C. Detrick, Esquire and his son, Jeffery S. Apell, Esquire.

Mr. Apell’s areas of specialization are Real Property, Probate and Trust law. He holds professional memberships in the American, New Jersey and Burlington County Bar Associations.

Mr. Apell is a former Prosecutor and Planning Board Attorney for Plumsted Township, New Jersey as well as other municipalities in the surrounding area.

The firm of Apell and Detrick, P.C. handles all types of general legal matters including accident cases, divorces and estate planning.

An active member of the New Jersey Bar Association, Mr. Apell serves as a member of the Board of Consultors of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and is a former Chairman of that section.

Mr. Apell has published articles on real estate and planning and has lectured on these timely topics. He has appeared on television as an expert on Wills and has been quoted in many local newspapers on legal subjects.
